Mucinex loosens chest mucus so you can cough it up and feel better. Thinner mucus is easier to spit out and removing it helps you get better faster. It doesn't suppress coughing, which is really only important if you are trying to sleep or in a theater.

So much cheaper than at the drug store. The pills were well within the expiration date. I am breathing more freely for less money. The top name brand for store brand prices. These pills are smaller than the store brand pills; I don’t feel that I’m choking down a horse size pill.

Since I must take this twice a day indefinitely I was looking for a better price than the local CVS and privately owned pharmacy near me and as usual Amazon fit the bill. I can say that in my experience if you take this for more than one week you MAY experience some muscle cramping in legs, feet and hands. I use quinine to counteract this side effect and it works beautifully. I discovered the quinine remedy after some very painful and very long lasting lower leg cramps.
